What is Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform where fans can back projects and help them become a reality. It helps creators raise money to fund a project they might not otherwise be able to afford. Kickstarter does not collect any money until the end of the campaign, and only if the project is successful.
What's the project?
We'll be kickstarting a special collected edition of Witch Creek Road Season 1. Specifically, this is the "Yearbook Edition".
I've always found yearbooks fascinating. When Kenan and I originally started printing the comic (before we became Featured on Webtoons), there was already a yearbook motif present, in the form of the "In Memory Of" pages. And so I figured, Why not take this one step further? Why not design this edition with the aesthetic of a yearbook in mind?
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
- Witch Creek Road issues 1-5 (which appear as episodes 1-15 on Webtoons)
- Season 1 epilogues (which I equate to "post credit scenes", and appear as episodes 16-20 on Webtoons)
- 10 pages previously unpublished on Webtoons
- "In Memory Of" pages previously unpublished on Webtoons
- Covers, including alternate covers
- Pinups
- A credits page in the form of a yearbook "Faculty" page
- A "Letter from the Principal" foreward
- Yearbook divider pages to appear between issues and epilogues
The end product will be a beautiful 230-page, full color, hardcover collected trade paperback.
