Witch Creek Road S3 E20 Explained (Spoilers)
Episode 20 (aka Sara)
This is probably the most wholesome episode of Witch Creek Road you're ever going to get; it's a brief glimpse into the relationship of Sara and the old man's assistant (who, for simplicity's sake, we're going to call Rob).
The episode opens with Sara, reclining on a chaise, and talking about her problems. It's a “psychiatrist's office” type of scene. Eventually we pull back and see Rob sitting in a chair near Sara; he reminds her he's not a therapist, which she seems to understand, but she keeps talks about her problems anyway.
She eventually shifts her focus and asks Rob if he wants to play checkers. He suggests chess instead, and Sara replies, "No, you always win. So does the old man. We think you cheat." This hint toward the fact that these visits semi-regular occurrences, and that Sara seems to have a good relationship with both Rob and the old man. This is reinforced when Rob asks, "How about we play checkers next time?" and says Sara will see him again Friday.
In the meantime, Rob gives her a piece of paper with a password to various streaming services to "keep you out of trouble", and he reminds Sara, "You got your arm pulled off a few weeks ago" (referring to Sara's encounter with Grace in Season 2 Episode 15).
Sara thanks him for the password, and then asks, "Wait... are we dating?! Is Netflix the new flowers?!" Rob boops her on the nose and replies, "I think I'm a bit old for you" and tells her the gifts are from Mr. Hellier.
The episode ends with Rob giving Sara her final gift: a mask. "According to Mr. Hellier, it belonged to a tribe of spider-worshippers. The tribe is long dead. The god, forgotten. It's kind of sad, actually. I imagine being forgotten would be a sort of death for gods. For some reason, Mr. Hellier thought you might like it."
Rob tells her, "You don't have to accept it if you don't want." Sara replies that it's beautiful and puts it on.
SARA'S HEALING: When Rob reminds Sara that Grace recently pulled her arm off, she shrugs and says, "Meh. We bounced back." This is the second time Sara's healing has come into play. The first time was in Season 1, when Grace shot her multiple times with a shotgun (see Season 1 Episode 6). Later, when Grace and Sara see each other again, Grace says, "I thought I killed you," to which Sara shrugs and replies, "Don't be silly. I'm not even sure I can die." (See Season 1 Episode 19).
SARA'S EYES: Each pair of eyes is tied to a different personality contained within Sara. Here is a handy reference:
You will occasionally see the different sets of eyes react in different ways. For example, in Season 1 Episode 5, you can see the Angelo set of eyes look toward Ben.
In addition, there are times when the other sets of eyes will close, and leave only one set open. We see this in Season 1 Episode 19, when all but Betty's eyes close. When this happens, the other personalities are relinquishing control and Sara is allowing one of the "minor" personalities to "take over".
This happens very briefly in this episode as well, and we see the Betty personality strike a particular pose...
...which is very reminiscent to a pose she struck in Season 1:
